MMRC is re-authorized by Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) as Joint Usage/Research Center for “fungal infectious diseases” in 2016. The aim of the program is to offer an opportunity of collaborative research to the research groups outside of MMRC with MMRC researchers. The program also encourages effective usage of the facilities and bio-resources of MMRC. The applicants should submit a research proposal after close consultation with the host researcher(s) of MMRC. A letter of consent by the head of the institution where the applicant belongs is also required.
The eligible applicant is a researcher of university or academic research institute. Proposals are welcome from the researchers with expertise in basic and clinical research for pathogenic microorganisms including fungi, infectious diseases, host defenses and other trans-disciplinary research.

Proposals will be evaluated by the scientific committee comprising representatives of the related communities.

A progress report of the research should be sent to host researcher using “Report form” until the end of May, 2025. The reports will be published in “Annual report of MMRC”. When the research is published in scientific paper, the support from the program should be acknowledged.
